An anthropologist equipped with tents, GPS and radio marker trawler areas between Russia and China in search of life in the wake of a global catastrophe that has destroyed all the continental plates, with the exception of the Eurasiaske. Along the way he meets another person, a woman in possession of a collection of reports from a small number of the earlier inhabitants, apparently recorded just before the end of the world. Meanwhile, one of the other researchers from the survival base of the Krasnoyarsk sent out to find this anthropologist who has suddenly stopped sending reports back to them.
